Pastor Nomthi Odukoya’s new book No! Don’t touch me there addresses early education, and enlightenment for children on parts of their bodies and how to protect themselves from sexual predators.

Explaining why she wrote the book on her website, she said:

"I wrote this book from my experience as an educator and a Pastor working with families. It is my desire to see our children grow up self-assured, confident and well-rounded."

With the rise in reported cases of child molestation and abuse “Don’t Touch Me There” is a pioneering, child-friendly book that helps Parents and teachers discuss a very important but sensitive subject with children. It teaches children about boundaries and empowers them to confront any form of improper behaviour or abuse and have the confidence to talk to their parents."

She adds that enlightenment and empowerment are one of the key ways to curb child sexual abuse:

"21st century children grow and mature quickly and are curious for information and learning from an early age. We have to provide them with the right tools that puts power in their hands, rather than making them victims."
