Nikola to have extra motivation against Italy: Spoelstra arrives in Pesaro to watch Jović /PHOTO/

Naturally, Spoelstra's primary reason for arriving on the Adriatic coast was to personally observe his protégé, Nikola Jović, in action.

It's worth remembering that Spoelstra previously watched Jović at the FIBA World Cup in Manila, then at Serbia's games in Belgrade, and has now decided to follow the 'Eagles' and one of the most crucial players of our national team in Pesaro.

Jović once enjoyed significant trust from Svetislav Pešić, and nothing has changed under Dušan Alimpijević, where he also remains a vital cog in the team.

Regarding his club career, the young Serbian ace occasionally shines in the world's strongest league, but he has yet to secure a consistent starting role. This will be an even more challenging task in the upcoming season, especially with the arrival of Giannis Antetokounmpo in Miami.

Therefore, for Serbia's away game against Italy, the roster will feature Nemanja Dangubić, Nikola Jović, Stefan Momirov, Ognjen Dobrić, Nikola Jokić, Arijan Lakić, Marko Gudurić, Nikola Tanasković, Dejan Davidovac, Aleksa Avramović, Nikola Milutinov, and Jovan Novak.

On the other side, the 'Azzurri' coach, Luca Banchi, has selected the following 12 players: Nico Mannion, Stefano Tonut, Nicolò Melli, Simone Fontecchio, Darius Thompson, Amedeo Tessitori, Giampaolo Ricci, Matteo Spagnolo, Saliou Niang, Tommaso Baldasso, Nicola Akele, and Quinones Emejuru.
