A year after Marko Gudurić lifted the trophy in Abu Dhabi with Fenerbahçe, draped in the Serbian tricolor, our own Nikola Milutinov has done the same, becoming a European champion with Olympiacos.

After a wild final and a dramatic comeback, in a memorable clash between two European giants, Olympiacos emerged victorious, proudly claiming the title of continental champions for the next year.

Milutinov Crowns a Stellar Season

Among those hoisting the trophy was Nikola Milutinov. In just 365 days, the Serbian center has orchestrated an incredible turnaround, earning every bit of the success he's experiencing.

In Abu Dhabi, Olympiacos suffered a defeat to Monaco in a game, and indeed a season, where the Serbian big man's impact was minimal. Nikola was visibly dejected after that loss, not keen on speaking to the media in Abu Dhabi, and many were loudly speculating that Milutinov was on his way out of Piraeus.

Now, 365 days later, our center is a European champion with the very same team.

Nikola has had a dream season, earning a spot on the EuroLeague First Team, and now he's capped it all off on what could be considered home turf – if the OAKA arena can be called home for the Piraeus giants.

Milutinov was impressive and completely focused in Athens, just as he had announced in an interview with Serbian media before the final. Not even the fact that Real was playing without their primary centers rattled him – the Serbian behemoth finished the game with eight points and eight rebounds in just 16 minutes on the court.

Others also made significant contributions, proving that Olympiacos is simply the best team, with numerous players capable of turning the game in favor of the Reds. However, despite everyone's efforts, few deserved this triumph more than our Nikola.

In just 365 days, he went from the heartbreak in Abu Dhabi to the victory of his career and his first EuroLeague title. Another reason for pride and celebration for Serbian basketball, which, for yet another consecutive year, boasts a winner of this prestigious trophy.
