Korede Bello - 'Godwin'

Kiss Daniel - 'Woju'

Davido - 'Aye'

The leader of the HKN Gang won the hearts of many with this love number. 'She no want designer, she no want ferrari, she say na my love o...', The easy to grasp tune was a constant anthem at Nigerian weddings.

Davido - 'Dami duro'

Unarguably Davido's breakthrough song, '..and on the beat is Davido, and i'm driving all the girls crazy oh..',  Davido was pure fire on this joint, music lovers couldn't get enough of it.

9ice - 'Street Credibility' ft 2face

'We are the most incredible, out of Naija, straight from Naija, street credibility...' Enough said.

Asa - 'Bibanke'

Soul singer Asa took listeners on an emotional rollercoaster, as she pours out her heart on the song.

It's probably the song with the most ridiculously interesting lyrics we’ve heard in the last decade.

2face – ‘African queen’

Let’s take it back to the early 20’s when the talented 2face Idibia of Plantashun boyz fame dropped a classic in ‘African queen’ off the 2004 “Face to Face album”, a love ballad that resonated beyond Nigeria.

‘As you see me so, I no send you o, but that one no mean say I no dey  wish you welly o…’ and that’s about the most popular line from this groovy ‘neighbourly’ tune from 2face.

Psquare – ‘Do me'

This song was a hit for days with easy peasy lines making the chorus memorable:  'If you do me I do you man no go vex...' The verses were also catchy and easy on the ear.

Majek Fashek  - ‘Send down the rain’

The reggae singer had us hooked with quite a number of his songs among which is this ‘rainmaking’ song. ‘Ma ma ma ma ma ma yo…. send down the rain’.

Wande Coal - ‘Ololufe’

The love song from the Black diamond easily became an anthem for the love birds alike. ‘Ololufe jowo mayi lo, iwo ni mo fe ni aye mi…’

D’banj – ‘Fall in love’

‘I used to lie to myself that I’ll always be a player but since I set my eyes on you, omo you don make me fall in love..’ Dedicated to all the players out there who eventually met the lady that found their ‘mumu button’.
