New Era at Sevilla: This is Matías Almeyda's Replacement

Sevilla is turning a new page in its technical leadership, announcing the start of its collaboration with Luis García Plaza. The Spanish coach takes the helm of the team, succeeding Matías Almeyda.

The Andalusian club's management moved swiftly to replace the former AEK coach, reaching an agreement with Plaza, who signed a contract that will keep him on the team's bench until the summer of 2027.

Sevilla's new coach boasts extensive experience in the Spanish league, having managed clubs such as Villarreal, Levante, Getafe, Mallorca, and Alavés, making him well-versed in the demands of La Liga.
