New Blow for Manchester United: Another Injury Concern After Bruno Fernandes' Setback

Manchester United faces fresh injury concerns just days after Bruno Fernandes picked up a knock during Portugal's Nations League clash against Wales. Patrick Dorgu was forced off the field during Denmark's match against Wales on Sunday afternoon, adding to the growing worries at the English club.

Dorgu started on the left wing for Brian Riemer's Danish national team but the 21-year-old talent lasted only 30 minutes. The Red Devils player was seen collapsing to the turf in frustration, clutching his leg, before Mohamed Daramy was brought on as his replacement. Dorgu was visibly limping as he left the pitch, a cause for concern not only for Denmark, who have two more matches in the current international break, but also for United.

Michael Carrick will be hoping that Dorgu's and Fernandes' current injuries will subside by the time they return to club football in just under two weeks, especially considering United's current injury list.

Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo opted to decline call-ups from Thomas Tuchel for England, prioritizing their recovery from minor knocks, while Benjamin Sesko also withdrew from the Slovenia squad due to a foot issue.

Matthijs de Ligt hasn't featured for the Red Devils since last November due to a back injury, and Manuel Ugarte is another long-term absentee with a knee injury sustained this summer. Tom Heaton, Karl Darlow, and Amad Diallo are also currently sidelined.
