Nesta Declines Role in Tottenham's Survival Bid

Alessandro Nesta has reportedly turned down Roberto De Zerbi's offer to join his coaching staff at Tottenham, according to Nicola Schira. The Italian legend is keen to continue his career as a head coach and is awaiting a new project. De Zerbi was appointed manager of the 'Spurs' two days ago, with his immediate goal being to steer the team clear of relegation.

Nesta has been out of work since last season, when he managed Monza. His previous coaching stints include FC Miami, Reggiana, Frosinone, and Perugia. De Zerbi offered him an assistant role, but the former defender is not interested in working in such a capacity.
