The deadline for submitting proposals from interested organizations to participate in the ambitious NBA Europe venture has now passed, with the NBA moving into the evaluation phase of the submitted bids.
According to information from The Athletic, interest was overwhelming, as more than 120 investors officially submitted their proposals, demonstrating the strong potential of the project.
Following the expiration of the submission period, the NBA announced the commencement of the review process, with Mark Tatum expressing his satisfaction with the market's response.
"We have received significant interest from a spectrum of prospects and investors for permanent organizational slots in a new league in Europe supported by the NBA and FIBA. The level of participation and the scale of the bids reflect the market's belief in our announced model and the tremendous potential for European basketball. We will now review the bids in more detail and select partners who share the vision and commitment to accelerate the growth of the game across the continent," he stated.
