Navarro cut a dejected figure following the defeat to FMP, offering a brief assessment of the loss against the Panthers in the aftermath.
"Congratulations to FMP on the win. Their approach to the game was exceptional, whereas ours was not good. I think we allowed some of their players to gain confidence too easily. Our lack of aggressiveness in one-on-one defense against their guards proved decisive in the first 20 minutes. It improved in the second half, but whenever we had a chance to take the lead, mistakes crept in and we conceded far too many open looks. Neal and Rush had a fantastic game, and in the end, we didn't make smart decisions, so FMP fully deserved this victory." - Ibon Navarro
As he pointed out, the team's attitude and approach fell short.

"We didn't underestimate them, but the truth is our approach was poor. We wanted to use this game to integrate some players who had been out of the rotation and get them back into rhythm. There was absolutely no lack of respect or underestimation on our part." - Ibon Navarro
Neal and Rush combined for 53 points, drawing praise from the coach.
"I think they hit some very difficult shots. We are not at a point where we are merely fixing minor details; we need to execute our core principles to the best of our ability. Of course, tactically we could have changed a few things, but certain team habits must be respected." - Ibon Navarro
Three-point shooting proved to be the decisive factor, with Zvezda converting just 6 of 33 attempts from beyond the arc.
"When you field four players who lack match sharpness because they aren't in the EuroLeague rotation or are coming off injuries, things like this can happen. Some are in shape but out of rhythm, while others are returning from injury, but sooner or later they need minutes on the floor. That may be a factor, but the reality is our three-point shooting was dreadful. We generated good, open looks, but we just couldn't knock them down." - Ibon Navarro

He wrapped up with a firm message.
"We didn't come here to treat this like a friendly just to give players minutes. We are here to compete, and we have to use these games to bring these players up to speed because we will need them in the matches ahead." - Ibon Navarro
