The National Team concluded their final training session on Portuguese soil this morning at the Cidade do Futebol, before their scheduled departure for Norway just before 4 PM.
Following Thursday night's 1-0 victory over Wales, the standout news is the excellent physical response from the entire Portugal squad. There are no reports of any physical issues or injuries stemming from the match, ensuring all 25 summoned players are fully fit and will join the delegation traveling to the Norwegian capital. Even Nuno Mendes, who was substituted by Nuno Tavares due to physical concerns, is not a worry for the national coach.
As is customary in the days immediately following competitive fixtures, the morning training session saw the squad divided into two groups. Players who started against the Welsh underwent a recovery program and gym work at the Cidade do Futebol facilities. Meanwhile, substitutes and less-used players took to the pitch for medium-intensity ball drills, directly overseen by head coach Jorge Jesus.
The journey to Oslo marks the second stage of this quadruple international commitment in the Nations League. The 'Seleção das Quinas' will conduct their usual pitch adaptation work this Saturday, on the eve of their match against the Norwegian national team.
