Romantic songs that more often fall into the R&B genre have been a major stay in the Nigerian music scene, pleasing to the ears and being a source of happiness to the helpless romantics alike.

Here are some Nigerian love songs in 2016 to stir up the romantic nerve in your body.

Nonetheless, it’s a beautiful song, take nothing away from that. More so, the R&B king just released a spanking fun video for the single.

Odunsi – ‘Stranger’ ft Zamir

The alternative singer rides on this one smoothly with his vocals featuring Zamir of the LOS fame, praising his woman interest.

Jinmi Abduls – ‘Long distance’

Mr ‘Tinuke Eko’ aka Jinmi of Lagos of Chase Music drops another love number, this time talking about long distance relationships, where he is both happy for his lady chasing her dreams overseas but at the same time he is pissed off at the whole long distance concept. It’s a good listen.

Ayoola – ‘Love you’

‘Love made in Africa’ I term this one, as the singer expresses his love with the help of rich African drums playing in the background to carry the words through to his lover, like something out of a fairy tale nature.

F.A – Desire ft Chidinma

The Liberian singer teams up with Miss Kedike for a love duet, pleasing to the hearing. Lovely Lovely.

Doray – ‘Sugar love’ remix ft Praiz, Mr 2Kay

Other worthy mentions include Solid Star's 'Wait' refix featuring Tiwa Savage and Patoranking, Adekunle Gold's 'No forget' ft Simi, Shaydee's 'Smile', Kiss Daniel's 'Upon me' featuring Sugarboy and Ric Hassani's 'Gentleman'(even though it doesn’t particularly qualify for this list as the audio was not released in 2016, the music video surfaced in 2016 however making it kinda fresh in the mind and passable to qualify).
