Mr 2kay recently stopped by the Pulse TV studios for an interview.
The singer, signed to Grafton Records, has risen tremendously within the past year, with hit singles such as ‘Bad girl special’, its remix, and most recently ‘Who no like better thing’.
He recently got nominated in two categories at the Headies 2015, marking a stellar acceptance of his work by the public.
But it has been quite a journey for the man from Port Harcourt, who at some point, dropped out of school due to poverty.
He talks to Pulse TV on this saying “Yes I can never forget those wonderful days, those wonderful moments when I used to do all those (street hustling), but from there it has now become another thing (music). That brought this to limelight, so I can never forget those moments.”
The singer’s new single ‘Who no like better thing’, is currently inspiring a movement, and he intends to channel that into charity and assisting the under-privileged,
“After I did the song, the song is something I can build a lot with because everybody wants the good things of life. There are people out there who desire the sweet things of life, but they cannpot afford it. You and I can make them afford it.”
