Portugal rejoined the MotoGP schedule during the COVID-affected 2020 season, with races held at Portimão rather than Estoril. In 2021, the Algarve circuit hosted two events and has been an integral part of the MotoGP calendar ever since.
The news of Portugal's new contract comes just a day before MotoGP is set to unveil its full 2027 season calendar. The complete schedule will be presented tomorrow, September 25th, at 1 PM Bulgarian time.
