Would you return N45m mistakenly paid into your bank account?

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has declared one Jerry Ogbonna Obike Phillip wanted for allegedly withdrawing the sum of N45 million paid into his bank account in error and taking off with the money.

According to the crime busters, the money was credited into his account in a new generation bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria in error but before the money could be reversed and returned to its rightful owner, Phillip had withdrawn all of it and disappeared into thin, putting the apex bank in serious trouble.

With the current situation in the country, not many Nigerians would be willing to return such an amount, believing it is mother luck that smiles on them.

But there are some who would not be comfortable with keeping money that does not belong to them, no matter the amount involved.
