The 38-year-old Belgian was sanctioned by the Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League (LFP) for the red card he received.

Lyon's assistant coach, Jorge Maciel, also received a one-match suspension. He was sent off on Sunday for showing a video on his phone to the referee, which is against regulations.

After 27 matches in the French championship, Monaco currently sits in sixth place, with Pocognoli's side accumulating 46 points.
