The UFC's number one lightweight contender discovered a new way to grab media attention. He made an appearance during the preliminary broadcast of MVP MMA: Rousey vs. Carano, which preceded the main Netflix fight night. The incident occurred immediately after Namo Fazil's submission victory over Jake Babian, which concluded the preliminary bouts.

Video footage from the event shows Tsarukyan verbally confronting Fazil from the stands. In a subsequent clip, he and his entourage engage in a direct confrontation with Fazil and his team backstage. The tension between the two fighters, who share Armenian heritage, escalated earlier in the week. This was sparked by a heated argument stemming from Tsarukyan's comments during a live broadcast regarding the Kurdish community in Armenia.

Now, Tsarukyan and Fazil are embroiled in an unexpected feud that is unlikely to be resolved anytime soon. The two compete in different promotions and different weight classes.

Meanwhile, Tsarukyan has a busy schedule ahead. He is set for two wrestling matches in RAF – the first against influencer Mugzy on May 30th, and the second against former UFC star Tony Ferguson on June 13th.
