The annual fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute is themed for this year and will honour 74-year old Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo.

Tracee Ellis Ross chose a sculptural blue brocade dress while Katy Perry opted for custom Maison Margiela Artisanal look by John Galliano topped with an embroidered veil, nail art and bold diamond rings.

French model Aymeline Valade chose custom Marni featuring blue bootleg trousers with a matching jacket from Francesco Risso.

Priyanka Chopra chose Ralph Lauren trench coat gown. These stars easily stand out from the rest taking a cue from the Avant Garde theme of the exclusive event.

From architectural details to decontructive precision, loud blend of artistic hues fused seamless amongst others, the daring stylistas are already firing up the red (blue) carpet.
