Messi's Message Before the Final: "No Matter What Happens, This Team Has Already Written History That No One Can Erase"

Argentina's talismanic captain, Lionel Messi, addressed his teammates ahead of today's World Cup final clash against Spain. The "Albiceleste" are aiming to become only the third team in history to successfully defend the trophy, but the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner focused not on accolades, but on the journey and the familial bond within the squad. Messi emphasized that the team has already etched its name in history, a fact that will remain unchanged regardless of the outcome at MetLife Stadium.

Here's what the Argentina captain posted on his Instagram profile:

"The best thing throughout all these years hasn't just been the trophies, but the entire journey. Sharing every day with this group of players, competing together, facing tough moments, and enjoying every step. Thank you to every one of my teammates, the coaching staff, and all the people who work daily to keep this team like a family.

No matter what happens tomorrow, this team has already written a history that we will never forget and that no one will be able to erase.

Come on, Argentina!"
