Lionel Messi presented a special gift to Italian football legend Roberto Baggio. The Argentine star gave him the number 10 Argentina jersey he wore during their 3-1 victory over Switzerland at the 2026 World Cup.
Baggio himself publicly announced the gesture via his social media channels. The former Italian international shared a photo with Messi, both holding the gifted jersey. In his post, the former star expressed gratitude for the present and for Messi's affection.
"Thank you, Leo, for the priceless gift and your affection. I love you, my friend," Baggio wrote.
Messi didn't score in Argentina's hard-fought 3-1 extra-time victory but assisted Alexis Mac Allister for the Albiceleste's opening goal. In the semi-finals, Argentina, aiming to defend their World Cup title, will face England, who eliminated Norway. The match is scheduled for July 15th (Wednesday) at 10:00 PM Bulgarian time and will be broadcast live on bnt.sportal.bg.
