Media May Have Convicted Them, But City's Leadership Fights Back: "We Won't Let Them Undermine the Club"
Information regarding the independent tribunal's decisions was released on Friday. However, the Premier League has yet to issue an official statement, and the nature of any potential sanctions remains unclear, as reported by AFP.
Manchester City, backed by Abu Dhabi capital, has consistently and vehemently denied the accusations. On Saturday, Al-Mubarak issued another strong statement, reiterating the club's stance.
"The process led by the Premier League still has a long way to go, and our confidence and determination to prove the club's innocence are as strong as ever. There are many things I would like to share with you to help you understand why we are so confident in our position. However, the strict confidentiality of the legal process and our commitment to respecting it prevent me from doing so at this time.
While some have been quick to jump to conclusions and there's a lot of noise around us, nothing has changed. We have faced challenges together in the past and overcome them. There are still many who wish to undermine our club's momentum. We will not give them that opportunity," Al-Mubarak stated in an open letter to City fans published on the club's website.
