Real Madrid and France national team forward Kylian Mbappé has dismissed claims of medical malpractice regarding the treatment of his injury.
Mbappé sustained a knee injury after the match against Celta on December 7th, which led to him missing several games in January and February.
Earlier, French journalist Daniel Riolo stated: "Rumors are circulating that Real examined the wrong knee. Do you think it's nonsense? Madrid fired its medical staff. Kylian avoided the worst."
Subsequently, this information was also confirmed by several Spanish journalists.
"The information that they examined the wrong knee is untrue. Perhaps I bear indirect responsibility for this. When there's no communication with the press, everyone takes advantage – that's part of the game," Mbappé commented.
"Our relationship with Real Madrid has always been quite transparent. We're at a crucial point in the season, and I wanted the team to win in my absence, which is fantastic. When I got injured in early January, everyone thought I was the club's only solution, but that wasn't the case," the French star added.
