Maresca: We are conceding silly goals that we can easily avoid

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca gave his verdict on the 1-0 home defeat against Brighton at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League. The Cityzens conceded an early goal to Yasin Ayari in the 11th minute, suffering a second consecutive league defeat. The Italian singled out individual errors as the main problem, while insisting his side created enough to take something from the match.

"We created enough to pick up points, but we didn't score. We did enough to deserve something. At this moment, we just have to move on.

Mistakes happen sometimes. Unfortunately, they are happening to our players. We need to analyze the situation and understand what we can do better. We are conceding silly goals that we can easily avoid.

We are certainly not happy. Nobody is happy when we lose a game. We were well aware that we wouldn't win every match; moments like these come along, so we have to bounce back as quickly as possible," Maresca said.
