Marc Marquez has given a concerning account of the condition of his right arm following a challenging MotoGP race at Silverstone.

The reigning champion had hoped his arm would be stronger after the summer break, but instead, he endured his worst weekend since undergoing surgery in May to relieve a trapped nerve. After experiencing extreme rear tire wear with the soft compound in the sprint race, the latest video from Ducati's YouTube channel shows the team gathering around Marquez after his seventh-place finish in the main race.

“Today the tire was better. Physically, however, I wasn't up to par. I risked crashing. I had no control over my right arm. Compared to practice... I lost the front at turns 1 and 9. I didn't like it,” Marc Marquez stated.

While Aprilia riders dominated the podium, Marquez was only the third-best placed Ducati rider, trailing his younger brother Alex and VR46's Fabio Di Giannantonio. The Silverstone results mean he is now 40 points behind championship leader Jorge Martin.
