Manchester United target Fermín López, but Barcelona midfielder has no intention of leaving

Fermín López, who shone for Barcelona in yesterday's emphatic victory over Alavés, is high on Manchester United's wishlist for future reinforcements. The Red Devils have tracked the Spain international for some time, and his impressive displays since the start of the season have reignited speculation in the Catalan press.

Following yesterday's fixture, Fermín was directly asked about the interest from the 20-time English champions. However, he delivered an unequivocal response that offered no encouragement to the Premier League side.

"Manchester United? I don't pay attention to that kind of news. I want to stay here at Barça for as long as possible. I hope to spend my entire career at this club and retire here," said Fermín López, who has racked up six goals and six assists in 13 appearances for Barcelona this season.
