Manchester United has reportedly identified Nottingham Forest's rising star, Elliott Anderson, as their primary target for the upcoming summer transfer window. The Newcastle-born midfielder is also on Manchester City's radar, but according to "The Sun," United is prepared to go the extra mile to outmaneuver their city rivals.
Anderson is under contract with Forest until 2029, but there's a growing understanding at the City Ground that he will be sold this summer. Interestingly, Anderson shares the same agency, "Stellar," with United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who is himself set to sign a new deal.
The Red Devils' management plans to bring in two new midfielders this summer. Among the Premier League midfielders United has been monitoring this season are Anderson, Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace), Sandro Tonali (Newcastle), Carlos Baleba (Brighton), and Alex Scott (Bournemouth).
