Manchester United has announced record revenues for the 2025/26 financial year, despite not participating in European club competitions that season. The club generated £677.6 million, with profits reaching a record £216.4 million, marking an 18.4% increase from the previous year.
The club reported an operating profit of £22.6 million, a significant turnaround from an £18.4 million loss a year prior. This improvement comes after cost-cutting measures implemented over the past year since Jim Ratcliffe took over the club's management. However, the Red Devils continue to post a net loss, which has increased from £33 million to £43 million. This net loss is calculated after accounting for all final values, transfer amortizations, and substantial interest payments on the club's debts at Old Trafford.
Television revenues rose by 19.6% to £206.8 million, while commercial income decreased to £317.3 million. Matchday revenues also fell to £153.5 million, an expected outcome given that the Red Devils played their lowest number of home games in decades. The club also reported a significant improvement in net cash flow from operating activities, reaching £178.7 million compared to £72.7 million in the previous period.
For the current financial year, Manchester United anticipates revenues between £740 million and £760 million, with adjusted profits expected to be in the range of £205 million to £225 million. The return to the Champions League is projected to generate additional income, although participation in the tournament will also lead to higher expenses.
