Manchester United has informed Olympique Marseille that they will not activate Mason Greenwood's buy-back clause, according to Fabrizio Romano. This paves the way for the French club and Fenerbahçe to finalize the transfer of the 24-year-old Englishman, who is set to continue his career with the Istanbul giants.

The Red Devils are expected to receive around £10 million from the deal for Greenwood, which is valued at €45 million. Getafe, in turn, will collect 10% of the transfer fee.

According to Nicolo Schira, the English forward will sign a contract until 2030, earning eight million euros annually.

Last season, Greenwood scored 26 goals in 45 appearances for Marseille. Roma had shown significant interest in him, but it appears Fenerbahçe will ultimately win this transfer battle.
