Despite splashing the huge sum of £250million on new players since the arrival of Louis van Gaal as manager, Chief Executive of Manchester United has revealed that they would be buying more players.

The likes of Memphis Depay, Anthony Martial, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, Ed Woodward says Manchester United will continue to strengthen their squad.

Woodward also expressed his delight that United are back in the UEFA Champions League after missing out last season.

Woodward while speaking at a Fans Forum, expressed his thoughts on the criticisms directed at Manchester United for not having a women's team.

United's Premier League rivals Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are represented in the Women's Super League while the 20 times English champions disbanded their women's team in 2005.

Sports Minister Tracey Crouch came for the club saying that it is time they rectify the situation.

"It is incredibly disappointing that one of the biggest clubs in the world doesn't have a ladies' football team," Crouch one told told BBC.

"They have an excellent centre for girls but they don't translate that into a ladies' football team.

"At a time when there is phenomenal interest in women's football, it is right that they should try and rectify that as soon as possible."

Woodward however revealed that the club is currently reviewing the situation.
