Manchester City face fresh blow as England international injured on Nations League duty

England international Nico O'Reilly has left the national team camp early and returned to Manchester City for further tests after picking up an injury. The left-back is set to miss Saturday's Nations League clash against Croatia in Rijeka, as well as Tuesday's home tie against the Czech Republic at Wembley.

O'Reilly played the full 90 minutes in Saturday's opening fixture against Spain, though he made an error in the build-up to the visitors' equaliser. He subsequently suffered an injury during training and was ruled out of Tuesday's win in the Czech Republic. The Football Association (FA) has confirmed that no replacement will be called up for the remaining two fixtures.

Newcastle's Lewis Hall, who played the entire match in Prague, is likely to step in once again at left-back. Saturday's encounter in Rijeka will be played before a restricted crowd as the hosts serve a sanction for racist behaviour by supporters, as reported by DPA.
