In an open letter to supporters, Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak addressed recent reports regarding the Premier League's ongoing legal proceedings, asserting the club's unwavering confidence in proving its innocence.
The club leader, who has been associated with Manchester City for 18 years, acknowledged the impact of Friday's news – which suggested an independent panel had found the club guilty of 114 out of 115 alleged breaches. He stated that, like the fans, he too had to answer questions from family and friends. His message was clear: "The Premier League process still has a long way to go, and our confidence and intent to prove the club's innocence are as strong as they were at the outset."
Al Mubarak expressed regret at being unable to share further details on the club's stance due to the "strict confidentiality of the legal process," emphasizing Manchester City's commitment to adhering to regulations. The chairman urged fans to carefully review the club's statements issued in September 2026 and February 2023, assuring them that "every word matters and remains true."
Despite the "noise" and "premature conclusions" from some quarters, the chairman affirmed that "nothing has changed." He reminded supporters that the club has faced and overcome challenges in the past, vowing not to give an opportunity to those who "wish to undermine the momentum" of Manchester City.
Looking ahead, Al Mubarak highlighted the team's upcoming fixtures after the international break, including an away trip to Anfield and a Champions League home tie against PSG at the Etihad Stadium. These matches, he stated, will be an opportunity to "celebrate the strength of the Manchester City family."
