Man mauled to death by his pet lion

According to reports, Michal Prasek bought the lion in 2016 and also bought a lioness sometime last year.

His dead body was found by his father who later informed authorities.

The regional police spokeswoman, Lenka Javorkova, told newsmen, "The Police had to shoot the two lions dead."

It was gathered that residents of the village had raised concern about the animals. The deceased victim was also previously fined for illegal breeding.

He also made headlines in 2018 when his lioness attacked a cyclist when he was taking her for a walk on a leash.
