Monga made his Premier League debut for Leicester at just 15 years old. Despite interest from several top clubs, he opted to join the Citizens. He played 37 matches for the Foxes and became the youngest player in the club's history to start a game. The transfer fee was not disclosed by the club, but British media reports suggest the deal is worth just under 12 million euros. His contract ties him to the club until 2031.

Manchester City has now signed three English players during the current transfer window. New manager Enzo Maresca continues to rebuild the squad following the arrivals of goalkeeper Pierce Charles and record club signing Elliot Anderson.

Monga's first Premier League appearance came as a second-half substitute in Leicester's 3-0 loss to Newcastle in April 2025, under then-manager Ruud van Nistelrooy. He made his first start in the League Cup against Huddersfield in August 2025. The England U19 international is also the third-youngest player to ever feature in the Premier League, with only Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman being younger.

“When I found out Manchester City was interested in me, I immediately knew it was the right choice. For any young footballer, it's a dream come true to be part of such an amazing club. Over the past ten years, Manchester City has been the best club in England. They've also given opportunities to academy players like Phil Foden and Nico O'Reilly, which shows there's a clear path to the first team. It's a huge honor to be here, and I'm incredibly excited to have joined this club,” Monga told the club's website.
