Attending the Super Bowl might be more affordable than watching the New York Knicks take on the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden.
Games 3, 4, and a potential Game 6 of the 2026 NBA Finals are commanding higher prices than almost any Super Bowl ever tracked by the ticketing platform SeatGeek. This was confirmed by the company's Senior Director of Finance, Oliver Martin, to Mark Medina of Forbes.
The sole exception, Martin clarified to Medina, was Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers in February 2024.
"All three home games at MSG are currently priced higher than any Super Bowl we've ever tracked – with the exception of Super Bowl 58, which featured Taylor Swift, a clash of dynasties, and the novelty of the first Super Bowl in Las Vegas," Martin stated. "With the Knicks, none of these external factors are at play. This is the culmination of 27 years of pent-up demand for a championship moment at MSG, and it's something we haven't witnessed at SeatGeek," he added.
According to TickPick, as of Friday, the lowest prices for entry to Games 3 and 4 exceeded $11,000. The cheapest ticket for Game 3 recently reached $11,461. For Game 4, the price was even higher, at $13,065.
Knicks' key player Josh Hart expressed his disappointment on Sunday regarding the ticket prices for his team's first home games in the Finals.
"A lot of people who have waited for this moment for a very long time, unfortunately, can't get into the arena," Hart said on Sunday. "The cheapest ticket is $7,000-$8,000, that's ridiculous," the forward added.
The Knicks, who took a 2-0 series lead after a one-point victory in Game 2 against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, have the chance on Monday to move within one win of the franchise's first title since 1973.
Game 3 of the NBA Finals is set for Monday night at Madison Square Garden.
