Luka Dončić has sent a clear message ahead of the 2026/27 season. The Slovenian star emphasized he won't be satisfied until he helps the Los Angeles Lakers win a championship.

Dončić has declared his unwavering commitment to bringing more championships to the Lakers, stating he "won't rest" until that goal is achieved.

"I'm not sure I ever imagined I'd be here, wearing this jersey. The feeling is incredible, and now I desperately want what every Lakers fan wants: to win it all. I won't rest until we bring home more titles." - Luka Dončić

While Dončić has typically let his on-court performance do the talking, he has now made his motivation for the upcoming season abundantly clear to Lakers fans.

"I've always let my game speak for itself, but I want Lakers fans to know I'm ready, excited, and eager to live up to expectations. Fully ready. This is a city accustomed to winning, and winning big. I am incredibly honored and grateful for the opportunity to now write my own championship chapters." - Luka Dončić

Last season, Luka averaged 33.5 points (a league-high), 8.3 assists, and 7.7 rebounds across 64 games, shooting 47.6% from the field and 36.6% from three-point range.

However, his season was cut short after he sustained a left hamstring injury on April 2nd against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
