It appears Luka Dončić is in good spirits during his time away from the Los Angeles Lakers.

During his media availability before the Lakers' Thursday game against the Golden State Warriors, Coach Redick revealed he had spoken with the Slovenian superstar, who was in Spain, before the team returned to Los Angeles.

According to the coach, Dončić is in a "relatively good mood" as he diligently focuses on rehabilitating his hamstring injury, as reported by ESPN.

Previously, Redick had not disclosed how long Dončić would remain in Europe to recover from the significant injury. However, this latest update on his current condition may bring some relief to Lakers fans.

Dončić received permission from the Lakers and his medical team to travel to Europe for treatment aimed at accelerating his return following a Grade 2 rupture of his left hamstring.

The superstar sustained the severe injury during last week's loss to the OKC Thunder. It has already been confirmed that he will not play for the remainder of the regular season, and the exact date of his return before the NBA playoffs remains uncertain.

With Dončić and Austin Reaves (oblique injury) sidelined, the LeBron James-led Lakers face a challenging road ahead. They have already clinched a postseason berth and enter the matchup against the Warriors with the fourth-best record in the Western Conference (50-29).
