Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique had every reason to be pleased after his team's dominant 3-0 victory over Nantes in a rescheduled Ligue 1 matchday 26 fixture. He first praised his players for their response following the loss to Lyon in the previous round, and also emphasized the importance of this win, which restored their four-point lead at the top of the table and put them back in control of their title destiny.
"I am very happy with the way we reacted. After a difficult result in the last round, today I saw a team that was completely focused. The most important thing was to secure these three points and show that we are in control of our path to the title," Luis Enrique began.
He specifically lauded Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who scored two of the goals.
"Khvicha showed why he's here. His efficiency in front of goal was crucial today. But I want to congratulate the entire squad for their discipline. When you're leading by two or three goals, it's easy to relax, but we remained serious until the end," the Spaniard added.
He also commented on the title race for the remainder of the season.
"There are few matches left, and the pressure is mounting. Every opponent, especially those at the bottom of the table, is playing for their lives. Today we made the game look easy, but that's due to our hard work, not a lack of resistance from Nantes," the coach further shared.
Finally, he addressed the team's rotations and internal competition.
"I always say that I need every single player. I'm happy for Désiré [Doué], who also got on the scoresheet. The competition within the squad is what makes us stronger at the end of the campaign," Enrique concluded.
