Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has declared that he expects "much more from his players" and that "every minute played for PSG must be special." The Spaniard made these remarks during his pre-match press conference ahead of the league fixture against Nantes.

When questioned about Ibrahim Mbaye's absence from Sunday's 1-0 loss to Olympique Lyon, the Spanish coach responded: "Every minute you get to play for PSG must be special. I have no regrets about Mbaye, but he needs to be ready. I expect much more from every player. This is due to the competition; someone has to be left out of the squad. They need to make the most of every minute."

"We won everything last year, and that was thanks to the reserves. They always trained well, and played very well when needed. It's the same this year. It would be ridiculous to sign many players; we have a large squad. It's normal to only have a few additions, and it will be the same this summer," he assured. "We have to deal with Vitinha's minor injury. Some players are a bit tired and have slight aches," the coach revealed.

He added that he doesn't know if Vitinha will be able to play in the first match against Bayern Munich on Tuesday. "We will calmly assess how the injured players can return. I don't know yet," the Spaniard replied.

Regarding Fabian Ruiz, who played 20 minutes against Olympique Lyon after a three-month recovery period, Luis Enrique believes he just needs time. "He needs normal time to regain his physical level. Fabian needs more matches and minutes. But we are pleased; he played 15-20 minutes against Lyon," the coach concluded.
