Guard Lonzo Ball has revealed that his knee issues are chronic and date back much further than previously assumed.
A series of severe left knee injuries forced Ball to put his career on a long hiatus and prevented him from returning to his previous level.
The basketball player now admits that the difficulties began even before he entered the NBA.
"To be honest, my knee has been bothering me since high school. The whole time. Everyone thought I wore a knee brace for style, but it helped stabilize the joint," shared Ball, who has played for the LA Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Chicago Bulls, and Cleveland Cavaliers in his career so far.
"I've always had knee problems. I don't know where it all started. Maybe from not stretching enough? Or playing too much on asphalt? Over time, things just got worse," added the guard, who was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers as the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
