Lone'er Kavanagh defeated Ramazan Temirov via first-round technical knockout in their main card clash at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi.
The fight began with crisp boxing exchanges at long and mid-range. In typical fashion, Temirov came out hunting for heavy hooks and overhands from the opening bell, but the Englishman remained disciplined in defense and kept out of harm's way. Kavanagh controlled the distance well, leaving the Uzbek fighter's strikes to miss by inches or bounce off the Londoner's tight guard.
In the final minute of the round, Kavanagh landed a devastating left uppercut that visibly rocked Temirov. He swarmed with a barrage of hooks and uppercuts to drop his opponent to the canvas. Kavanagh followed up on the ground, prompting referee Mike Beltran to step in and wave off the contest.
