Liverpool's rising star, Rio Ngumoha, will not feature in England's squad for tonight's clash against Spain at Wembley. The 18-year-old forward, called up by Thomas Tuchel for the current Three Lions camp, misses out due to a UEFA regulation limiting official matchday squads to a maximum of 23 players. Tuchel had 24 players at his disposal, and Ngumoha was the one ultimately left out.

Ngumoha is experiencing his first full international cycle with the national team, having made his England debut in June during a friendly against New Zealand. He was included in Tuchel's squad for the four Nations League fixtures against Spain, the Czech Republic, and Croatia, and is expected to get another opportunity in upcoming matches. The winger has also made a strong impression with his performances for Liverpool, earning him a place in Tuchel's plans. Despite not being on the pitch against Spain, Ngumoha remains part of the England squad for the remaining games of this international break.
