Liverpool Legends and Borussia Dortmund Legends played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Anfield in a charity match organized by the Merseyside club's Foundation. Beloved former Reds manager Jürgen Klopp made a return to the dugout, leading the home side alongside Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, and John Aldridge.

Liverpool took an early lead in the sixth minute when Thiago Alcantara played a neat one-two with Babel before chipping the visiting goalkeeper from a tight angle, sending the ball into the far corner. The Reds continued to dominate, but Thiago and Gerrard both missed good opportunities to extend their lead.

In the 39th minute, Jay Spearing doubled Liverpool's advantage with a superb strike from the edge of the box, firing the ball just under the crossbar. Aurelio provided the assist.

Mohamed Zidan pulled a goal back for Borussia Dortmund in the 63rd minute, latching onto a fantastic through ball and slotting it past Reina. Shortly after, Nelson Valdez squandered a golden opportunity to equalize.

The equalizer eventually came in the 81st minute when Jan Koller headed home a cross from the left flank. Reina's intervention wasn't strong enough, and the ball found its way into the net for 2-2. Towards the very end, Koller even had a chance to complete a comeback for the "Yellow and Blacks," but his shot this time went wide.
