Despite Bosnia and Herzegovina holding a lead for most of the game, Lithuania ultimately secured a crucial victory, keeping their World Cup qualification hopes alive for next year's tournament.

Lithuania established a decisive advantage at the start of the final quarter. Our neighbors faltered, allowing the hosts to capitalize through Azuolas Tubelis, who created a key difference that they maintained until the end.

Tubelis was the game's top scorer with 23 points, while Augustas Marčulionis, son of the legendary Šarūnas, contributed 16 points. Gytis Radzevičius also reached double figures with 11, as did Marek Blaževič.

On the opposing side, Jusuf Nurkić led with 20 points, with Luka Garza (14 points) and Amar Alibegović (11 points) being the only other players in double digits.

Turkey remains at the top of the table with a 7-0 record, while Italy and Serbia both have five wins and two losses. Lithuania is now fourth with a 4-4 record, Iceland stands at 3-4, and Bosnia and Herzegovina has three wins and five losses.

This means that if Serbia secures a victory, coupled with an expected Turkish triumph over Iceland, they would hold a four-win advantage over Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iceland with four rounds remaining. This would almost certainly guarantee their qualification ahead of these teams, narrowing the battle for advancement to four teams, with three progressing.

Naturally, a potential defeat for the Eagles in Pesaro would complicate their situation.
