Gvardiol joined Manchester City in 2023 from RB Leipzig for $103 million. He has since featured in 122 matches for City. “As soon as I learned that City wanted to extend my contract, I knew that’s exactly what I wanted too. The fans here are incredible, and the club provides everything for its players. I’ve said it many times before, but I truly love it here,” stated Gvardiol, who had been linked by media outlets with moves to Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
