During the recent Azerbaijan Grand Prix, both McLaren and Red Bull unveiled significant car upgrades in their pursuit of improved performance.

Meanwhile, Ferrari arrived in Baku without any new components and recorded their fifth consecutive race without a podium finish.

While Leclerc acknowledged that the track layout wasn't ideally suited to the SF-26's characteristics, he noted the progress made by their competitors.

"I don't think this track is particularly well-suited to our car," Leclerc stated. "I hope we can react very soon."

Ferrari currently holds second place in the Constructors' Championship, maintaining a 72-point lead over McLaren, who endured a challenging race in Baku, finishing outside the points.

However, Leclerc is well aware of the threat to Ferrari's second-place standing and confirmed that the team is also preparing upgrades.

"We have a few things coming to the car," he said. "Whether they will be enough to close the gap, without knowing what the others are preparing, is another question. But we have a few things that should help us make strides forward."
