The Lagos Aids Walk aimed to increase the population’s awareness of existing laws such as the HIV/AIDS Anti-Stigma Bill which was passed in 1997 to protect people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) from discrimination and stigmatization.

Advocating for increased political will and corporate support for HIV prevention, treatment, care and support; to raise funds for Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) campaigns; and to progress towards international goals of universal access to HIV Counseling and Testing (HCT) services.
