Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of Vice President, Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola and others have praised lawyer, politician and author Ladi Soyode for his latest literary work entitled Shadows of Whispers, a collection of soul inspiring poems.
At the launch of the book held at the Muson Center Lagos, the chairman of the occasion, Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola who was represented by Mr Lateef Ibirongba described Ladi as a good person who applies himself in what ever he does. "What Ladi has done today shows that there is still a way for Nigeria to go. By writing literature he has demonstrated that there is hope for Nigeria." Vanguard Newspaper reported.
Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of Vice President, who is a sister to the author added that she was proud of him "for he has chosen to express himself in poetry, prose, music."
The author, Ladi Soyode, was very grateful for the kind words. He however shared some beautiful rare thoughts on poetry.
He said: "I believe that the poet has a message that he needs to pass to the society. Some of them are things that are understood by people, some are things they understood later. In ancient days people with such gifts were challenged to pass messages to the society, and the messages are in different aspects of human existence, so basically I write because I have a message."
