Kyle Walker Poised for Immediate Premier League Return After Burnley Relegation
England international Kyle Walker is a transfer target for Everton and could make an immediate return to the Premier League following Burnley's relegation.
The Clarets' right-back has been close to a move to the Merseyside club twice in the past, but a transfer could finally materialize now, with manager David Moyes reportedly interested.
Walker, 36, joined Burnley on a two-year deal from Manchester City last summer for £5 million, after his previous move to Everton fell through. Walker, who has 96 caps for England, was also close to joining the club as a teenager.
Last season, he made 35 starts for Burnley in the Premier League but was unable to help the team avoid relegation.
On Saturday, Walker also scored the winning penalty in Burnley's League Cup victory over Notts County.
Should he join Everton, the transfer fee is expected to be nominal.
The Toffees have already signed five new players this summer: Brennan Johnson, Kristian Nørgaard, Hayden Hackney, Tyrique George, and Merlin Röhl.
