Konsa: We've been in the game a long time and know what comes with it

Defender Ezri Konsa stated that England's national football team is ignoring the "outside noise" as they prepare for their World Cup clash against Argentina, acknowledging that media speculation is part of the game. His teammate Marc Guéhi agreed, saying they've "never been more united." England defeated Norway to reach the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup, but the victory was overshadowed by a public disagreement between manager Thomas Tuchel and midfielder Jude Bellingham. Tuchel expressed dissatisfaction with the performance, while Bellingham – who scored both goals in the 2-1 extra-time win – questioned whether the coach understood what it was like to play under such conditions and against strong opponents.

“I think for us, there will always be outside noise. You have to be able to block it out. We’ve been in the game a long time and we know what comes with it. We have great players. We’re all together, there are no issues,” Konsa explained.

His teammate Marc Guéhi praised the German manager of the "Three Lions" and spoke about the team's unity.

“He’s brought a lot of energy on and off the pitch. I think he’s created a team where there’s a lot of togetherness and a real belief in what we’re doing right now. Everyone is behind him. Honestly, there’s never been a time when we’ve been more together. That match just brought everyone closer,” Guéhi stated ahead of today's semi-final encounter with Argentina.
