Ibrahima Konate has officially put pen to paper on his contract with Real Madrid, becoming the latest new signing to finalize his personal terms with the club. Despite his transfer being announced on June 18th, the French defender's signing ceremony at the Bernabéu was showcased today. His agreement with the royal club runs until 2030.
Konate will wear the No. 16 jersey, previously donned by Gonzalo Garcia last season.
The defender arrived on a free transfer from Liverpool, where he wore the No. 5 shirt.
In recent days, Real Madrid has conducted similar signing ceremonies for coach José Mourinho and midfielder Bernardo Silva. The club is expected to follow the same procedure with its other new acquisitions. Media access is restricted at these events, with only the club's official media outlet permitted to ask questions.
