The kitchen sink is arguably the most busy part of any kitchen.

With all the washing, rinsing and cleaning of foodstuff there, it is only normal that some particles clog the drain from time to time if care is not taken.

However, preventing this is not only very easy, it is a simple and efficient method too. All you need to do is pour boiling water down the drain.

This ensures that all the oils in food actually run down the drain instead of building up on the surface of pipes, clogging the drains.

For better results, pour some baking soda and/or vinegar down the drain first before pouring the boiling water. Baking soda, an all purpose ingredient is a great cleaning agent and it will absorb any odours.

You may do this once in a while to avoid clogged drains at all, rather than having to deal with them later.
